An old kind of magic

"Oh? I wonder who else is staying here," she muses following him up

"well there seemed to be other keys in the case so...i am guessing not many if anyone else...."

"Makes you wonder how these businesses stay open.." she comments in a hushed tone. She doesn't want to offend the owners but it does make her think.

"just enough trade in the peak of things..." he shrugs "plus no one bothers to come out here to try and chase up rent"

"I suppose that's true.. It'll be cheap and cheerful out here. I wonder what their drinks are like."

"cheep and cheerful i suspect we will have to test them out....a little later"

"Sounds good. Is it better to opt for an early night tonight?" she asks. "I don't know what time you want to set out most days."

"well after this I am not sure if we should head strait out on the treck...or if you wish to linger just a little"

"This is your trip, I am just tagging along. I would rather you do as you would alone. I am interested to discover a little bit about this lifestyle."

"in that case I would head out tomorrow when i wake up...we would have to take an alcoholic doggy bag"

She gives him a droll sidelong look. "..... oh har har."

"unintentional pun that time forgive me " he laughs anyway

She rolls her eyes shaking her head. What is he like. "Still. A hip flask doesn't sound bad."

"mm keeps the chill at bay..." he nods "we shall catch up on that before we leave tomorrow"

She stretches wondering which rooms will be theirs. She assumes they will be next door to one another. It has been a long time since she spent a whole day travelling and is a little surprised to be reminded how much it takes the energy out of you

he goes up and points at the doors "these two...." he unlocks pokes his head in then out again "looks....brown...but clean"

She laughs. "Mm. Top notch decorating skills then," she jokes.

"mmm yes care to see yours?" he ventures into his room just a tad more "or exsploring mine with me?"

"I imagine they are very similar," she responds indicating she would prefer the key to her own.

( the general intenchion was he had already offered her key...hence the jingleing it at her)

"one would think so.. but you never know with these places...maybe yours is a diffrent shade of brown"

She laughs. "I am not trading if mine is a nicer brown than yours," she tells him moving to open her own door. "Oh! Mine's green actually."

he tuts from his room "on suet..very nice..." he looks about its got a shower at least which is more than he exspected"

She seems to mimic his thoughts. "Oh good, I wanted a shower," she calls sounding relieved.

he pops his head round her door "well....i think i will stick with the brown and let me know when...i doubt there will be pressure for both"

She nods. "Well. I will have one now and then head down to the bar and wait for you there?" she suggests
